For the second time this season the Enid Outlaws locked up with the Omaha Finest. And like the first game, this contest wasn’t over until the final buzzer sounded. The Outlaws led throughout the game, but there was no quit in the Finest. The Outlaws upped their record to 5-0 with the 136-125 win at tonight’s game played in Enid’s Stride Bank Center.

With just over three minutes left in the game, Enid led 129-118. Omaha was able to cut the lead to four points. Tavares Sledge took over for Enid, scoring six points in the final seconds of the game.

For the contest, the Outlaws were led by Charlie Marquardt. He finished with 29 points, including six three pointers. Chance Comanche had 25 points including several monster dunks. Tavares Sledges had his best outing of the season with 24 points. Wayne Runnels had 21 points and Kyle Steward added 17.

Omaha was led by KJ Scott who finished with 27 points. Craig Sword finished with 24 points before fouling out. JC Show had 24 and hit five three. Devonte Patterson added 13 points for the Finest.

Outlaws Coach Ed Corporal stated after the game, “It was a great win tonight. We battled through runs and didn’t give in. We still need to get tougher mentally and physically if we want to compete at a high level. But I’ll take this one….5-0 is nice but there is lots of work that still needs to be done.

The Outlaws return to action in Enid’s Stride Bank Center on Sunday for a 4:00 PM tip vs. Wichita.
